Cropsey was a painter of the Hudson River school and an architect (Cropsey designed the stations of the now-demolished 6th Avenue elevated railway in New York City). Home and grounds are beautifully maintained, and are tucked away on a quiet side street in the center of the village. Open by appointment only. 2 Upstream Gallery, 8 Main St, ☏ +1 914-674-8548, [email protected]. Th–Su 12:30–5:30PM. Westchester's oldest cooperative gallery, the gallery was started in 1991 by a group of Westchester artists who were looking for a venue to show their works outside that of commercial galleries. The gallery has two street level exhibition spaces. (updated Apr 2021) The Hudson River: This river can be seen from several parts of the town.
